As we approach a new school year, I’m looking for ways to further connect with the children and youth of this congregation! I have been invited to (and able to attend some) sports events, dance recitals, and band concerts! Keep those invites coming! I love to see what our kids are doing in their spare time!
Happenings in Youth Ministry
United’s Youth Ministry starts anew this year for all 6th – 12th graders, regardless of whether they have been confirmed. The United Church of Christ often affirms: “We take the Bible way too seriously to take it literally.” We’ll explore what that means, following 10:00 worship, in September:
• 9/6 – Labor Day weekend: Youth join in worship
• 9/13– Fiesta Sunday Youth Meeting: Journeys,
Dreams, and Visions (with Breakfast burritos!)
• 9/27 – Youth Meeting: Life Together and
Covenant
Youth Retreat at Ghost Ranch
October 23-24
