Follow The Star
Sunday, January 8
Children's Epiphany Party during 10:00am Service
All children (and their friends) are invited to an Epiphany Party on Sunday, Jan. 8 during the 10:00 worship service. We’ll make stars—like the one that led the Wise Ones to Bethlehem—and hear a story about their journey, make crowns, and just have a good time! Afterward (and after the worship service), we’ll pass out star cookies to the rest of the congregation. Come—and bring a friend!
Martin's Big Words
Martin Luther King, Jr. Sunday
Sunday, January 15
We’ll watch a video about the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the words he used that changed the world—like justice, faith, freedom, equality, peace, hope, and love. We’ll also make a poster to share with the congregation how those words help us to “Love God, Neighbor, and Creation.”
Sunday, January 22
Every hand can help— especially when our hands are joined with others. This Sunday, we’ll start making our “Helping Hands” Quilt with our own hand prints. Come and bring a friend!
Good Food for Good Neighbors
Sunday, January 29
We’ll assemble tasty and nutritious casseroles for our neighbors who are the guests at the Interfaith, Casa Familia, and St. Elizabeth Shelters.
Love God, Neighbor, and Creation!
We continue our “Year of Helping” throughout January, caring for one another in our church community and our neighbors in need
United Children Share God's Love at Christmas
United’s children created over 40 Christmas Gift Bags for the guests of St. Elizabeth Shelter; stocked 3 Christmas Baskets for families in need and assembled 50 “Kits for Ukraine” to send to Church World Service. Thank you to volunteer Gail Ansheles and staff Maria Navarette and Caleb Omolo for helping our youngest ones help others.
