Youth programming at United seeks to equip young people with the tools they need to make ethical decisions and build a relationship with God. Whether you are 11 years old, preparing for the trials of middle school; or 17 years old, looking toward life beyond high school, faith is an important aspect of your identity.
Youth programming includes:
- Engaging Questions
- Service Opportunities
- Faith Development
- Community Building
The Young Adventurers (5th and 6th Grade) engage in fun and faithful programming. They meet each Sunday during the 11:00 Worship Service and for other activities during the week. (Bruce Turnquist, firstname.lastname@example.org)
The GAP Youth (7th and 8th Grade) meets each Sunday at 9:45 am. They also gather for volunteering, retreats, movie nights and game nights. GAP stands for “Great Adventure Preparation”. Our 7th and 8th graders are taking a year to get ready for their “Initiation to Adulthood” program that starts next fall. (Rebecca Crutchfield, email@example.com)
The High School Youth Group (9th-12th Grade) meets once a month for pizza and conversation, while looking at other opportunities to get together and engage questions of faith.

As a young man with most of my life ahead of me, I decided early to give my life to something eternal and absolute. Not to these little gods that are here today and gone tomorrow. But to God who is the same yesterday, today and forever.
~Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.~
