Adult Forums in May

The 50 days of the Easter season are a time of new life and possibility. We explore those themes in the 9:45 Sunday Forums throughout April and May.

May 5 - Writing as Spiritual Practice:
Lib O'Brien will lead a discussion about our sources of creativity and inspiration, and the ways our faith experience informs both.  We will read a poem and a Psalm together, then write our own responses to either one to provide a sense of our individual sources of creativity and inspiration. Please bring a pen and paper or journal to the Forum.

May 12 - Creativity in Parenting: Mother's Day Forum.
For our forum on Mother's Day we have assembled five mothers and "othermothers" to share their stories about parenting.  Where have we felt creative moments with our children?  How has faith inspired creativity helped us through challenging situations?  How has our faith informed creativity in parenting?  Jessica Smucker, Megan Perkins, Mary Lou Carson, and Geri Glover will share their stories, as well as encouraging others in the audience to share theirs.
